Maximize your jobsite safety and productivity with a stable, high-capacity aerial work platform. At IronPower Industries, we offer a vast inventory of fully inspected used scissor lifts for sale. As a foundational part of our lifting equipment lineup, these machines provide operators with safe, straight vertical elevation and massive platform workspaces capable of holding multiple workers and their tools. Whether you need a compact, zero-emission electric lift for indoor facility maintenance or a heavy-duty rough terrain lift for outdoor commercial construction, we have the right equipment ready to deploy. If your project requires reaching up and over obstacles, be sure to also explore our highly maneuverable boom lifts.
Browse our trusted aerial lift machinery by manufacturer:
IronPower Industries provides a specialized selection of used scissor lifts engineered to safely elevate personnel and materials directly upwards. Unlike scaffolding, which takes hours to erect and dismantle, a scissor lift is fully mobile, allowing your crew to drive along the work area while elevated, dramatically increasing efficiency on large-scale painting, electrical, or installation jobs.
Choosing the right machine depends entirely on where you plan to use it:
Electric Slab Scissor Lifts:
These compact units run entirely on heavy-duty battery banks. They produce zero emissions and operate quietly, making them strictly mandated for indoor use. They feature solid, non-marking tires designed specifically to operate on smooth concrete floors (slabs) without leaving scuff marks.
Rough Terrain (RT) Scissor Lifts:
Built for the outdoors, RT scissor lifts feature powerful diesel or dual-fuel engines. They are equipped with 4-wheel drive, heavy-duty lug tires (often foam-filled), and oscillating axles to maintain traction on mud and gravel. Many RT models also feature hydraulic outriggers that deploy to perfectly level the machine on uneven ground before lifting.
Platform Height and Working Height:
Remember that “Platform Height” is where your feet rest, while “Working Height” includes an additional six feet (the average reach of the worker). A 19-foot scissor lift provides a 25-foot working height.
Platform Capacity:
Scissor lifts boast much higher weight capacities than boom lifts. If you need to elevate two workers alongside heavy HVAC ducting or large spools of copper wire, ensure the machine’s rated capacity can handle the combined weight safely.
Roll-Out Deck Extension:
Almost all modern scissor lifts feature a platform extension that slides out manually. This provides an extra 3 to 4 feet of horizontal reach, allowing workers to get closer to the work area over machinery or building ledges.
Our inventory is stocked with the absolute giants of the aerial industry. Skyjack is universally recognized as the leader in the scissor lift market, famous for their simple, color-coded wiring that makes maintenance a breeze. We also heavily stock Genie (GS series) and JLG, both renowned for their exceptionally smooth proportional controls and rock-solid scissor stack stability.
Because multiple lives depend on the structural integrity of the scissor stack, every lift listed by IronPower Industries undergoes a rigorous practical inspection:
IronPower Industries proudly supplies scissor lifts for sale in Florida and across the United States. With a massive portion of our aerial inventory located at our Hialeah facility, electricians, painters, and HVAC contractors in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa have immediate access to dependable lifts. We routinely coordinate flatbed freight and international export to ensure your equipment arrives safely and ready to work.
A scissor lift can only elevate vertically (straight up and down) and offers a much larger platform workspace with higher weight capacities, making it ideal for multiple workers and heavy materials. A boom lift features an extendable arm that can move both vertically and horizontally, allowing operators to reach up and over obstacles, though with a smaller basket capacity.
Yes, but with strict limitations. Electric slab scissor lifts must only be used on flat, level, paved surfaces like asphalt or concrete. They cannot navigate dirt or gravel. Additionally, because they are lightweight, they are highly susceptible to wind hazards. You must always check the machine’s outdoor wind rating before elevating outside.
On electric slab lifts, pothole guards are steel bars or plates located under the side doors that automatically drop down to an inch off the ground when the machine is elevated. If the lift is driven into a pothole or off a concrete ledge while raised, these guards catch the ground, preventing the narrow machine from tipping over.
Yes. Expanding your access fleet is crucial for taking on larger commercial contracts. IronPower Industries offers flexible machinery financing options designed to help facility managers and contractors acquire the lifts they need while maintaining healthy working capital.
