IronPower Industries provides a specialized selection of used towable light towers designed to eliminate the hazards of working in the dark. When your project demands round-the-clock progress, a dependable light tower ensures your heavy machinery operators have maximum visibility and your ground crew remains safe, ultimately accelerating your project timeline and increasing profitability.
Choosing the correct lighting technology is the most important decision when buying a light tower:
Metal Halide (Traditional):
These are the industry standard for extreme brightness. They produce a brilliant, wide-reaching white light that easily cuts through dust and fog. While they are highly cost-effective to purchase upfront, the bulbs require a warm-up period and consume more fuel compared to LEDs.
LED (Light Emitting Diode):
LED light towers are the modern standard. They offer instant-on/instant-off capabilities with no warm-up time. While slightly more expensive upfront, LED fixtures consume significantly less power, allowing the diesel engine to run at lower RPMs. This drastically reduces fuel consumption and extends your run time to over 200 hours on a single tank.
Mast Height and Coverage:
Ensure the mast can extend high enough (typically 23 to 30 feet) to cast a wide, overlapping pool of light across your site while minimizing harsh shadows and blinding glare for your operators.
Fuel Capacity and Run Time:
Look at the size of the onboard fuel tank. If you are operating in a remote location, a large-capacity tank combined with a fuel-efficient engine means your crew won’t have to waste time refueling the unit every single day.
Our inventory features the most respected and rugged names in portable lighting. Generac and Magnum (now part of Generac) are universally recognized for their durable mast designs and incredibly fuel-efficient engines. Terex and Allmand Bros are also heavily favored by rental yards and heavy civil contractors for their wind-resistant stability and unbreakable steel canopies.
A light tower that fails to illuminate or won’t raise its mast is a massive liability. Every towable unit listed by IronPower Industries undergoes a rigorous, specialized inspection:
IronPower Industries proudly supplies light towers for sale in Florida and across the United States. With our primary facility located in Hialeah, paving crews, event organizers, and road contractors in Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Orlando, and Tampa have immediate access to high-intensity portable lighting. We routinely coordinate towing, flatbed freight, and international export to ensure your equipment arrives ready to light up the night.
Yes. Almost all industrial light towers are mounted on DOT-approved single-axle trailers. They are highly compact and lightweight, allowing them to be easily towed behind a standard half-ton pickup truck or SUV using a standard ball or pintle hitch without requiring a commercial driver’s license (CDL).
Run times vary significantly based on the engine efficiency, fuel tank size, and the type of lights used. A standard metal halide light tower with a 30-gallon tank can typically run for 60 to 70 hours continuously. However, a modern LED light tower with the same size tank can often run for over 200 hours because the LED fixtures draw much less power from the engine.
Because the mast extends up to 30 feet in the air, the unit becomes top-heavy and susceptible to high winds. Outriggers are stabilizing legs that pull out from the sides and rear of the trailer. You crank them down to lift the tires slightly off the ground, creating a wide, perfectly level, and wind-resistant base before raising the mast.
Yes. Maintaining a safe, well-lit jobsite is critical for your crew’s productivity. IronPower Industries offers flexible equipment financing options tailored to help contractors and event management companies acquire the lighting fleets they need while maintaining a healthy cash flow.
